Since 2017, the Zentrum für politesch Bildung, together with its partners, has been organising the Day of Remembrance of the Holocaust and for the Prevention of Crimes against Humanity, which from 2024 will be continued under the name Holocaust Remembrance Day.
Together with the Austrian Embassy in Luxembourg, the ZpB is screening the documentary "Der schönste Tag", which explores the experiences and memories of the Nazi dictatorship and the Holocaust in Austria through discussions between witnesses and their grandchildren. The discussions take place in the context of a critical evaluation of the official narratives of memory of this historical period in Austria.
The film screening will be followed by a discussion with a 2nd generation witness, to contextualise the history of the Shoah in Luxembourg and the post-war period in the Grand Duchy.
